Outlines the creation, progress, accomplishments, and resources of the Career Transition and Work Retention Partnership (CTWRP), an organization which is designed to serve the marginalized young adults in four Georgia counties. CTWRP specifically includes the young adults living in immigrant communities who have minimal education and/or poor English as a Second Language (ESL) skills. CTWRP consists of local businesses, nonprofit organizations, public school systems, community-based organizations, refugee/immigrant organizations, and governmental offices organized to provide individuals with career development tools and resources. Strategically located Career Centers funnel information related to job preparation, career exploration, and skills assessment to at-risk youth. Focus groups and one-on-one interviews with the participants and Community Center staff determined that the effort was successful for those who took advantage of the resources. Additional funding and communication/marketing aimed at the youth and their parents is needed to continue to expand outreach and improve computer systems used to deliver information.
