Provides information about and access to the Casey Center for Effective Child Welfare Practice’s technical assistance initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for disadvantaged children, families, and communities. Among the Center’s core goals are coordinating quality technical assistance to promote successful child welfare practices and developing learning opportunities that support practice, program, and policy improvements in the wider child welfare field. The Web site offers child welfare professionals: (1) information about the Center’s top priorities, including post-adoption services, permanency for youth in transition, and mental health services for children in foster care; (2) highlights of key consulting projects and sites around the United States, including peer-to-peer learning opportunities with adoption and fiscal managers, efforts to increase and speed permanency through adoptions, and adoption-competency training; (3) information tailored separately to families and to youth; (4) resources for professionals, encompassing notices of meetings and conferences, news alerts, white papers training opportunities, model programs, and employment opportunities; (5) frequently asked questions; (6) biographies of the Center staff; and (7) links to other relevant sites containing information on foster care, adoption, and family issues.
