Children who are exposed to intimate partner violence suffer. In fact, “mother treated violently” is one of the ten Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) known to impact children’s health into adulthood (see https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/acestudy/index.html). This webinar discusses the overlaps between children who witness IPV and children who grow up in refugee families, as well as culture and IPV, how to help families live free from IPV, and how to lessen refugee children’s exposure to violence and boost their resilience.
