Examine the diversity, strengths and needs of the growing number of immigrant students with a focus on creating a welcoming and positive school climate and strategies for teaching content to English Language Learners.   A school system that recently transformed as a result of an influx of Karen refugees describes their experiences and “lessons learned” and resources for further information and technical assistance are provided. BRYCS co-sponsored this webinar with the Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium.
