Children and young people are integral to the success of UK government’s refugee integration strategy, to breaking down barriers between refugee and settled communities and the creation of cohesive communities. Furthermore, for young refugee and asylum-seeking people, school provides stability and normality that mitigate the negative effects of traumatic experiences.
