This book for young readers tells the story of Loung Ung, a childhood survivor of the Camdodian genocide under the regime of Pol Pot. Forced to flee, Ung and her siblings became separated and were not reunited until the Khmer Rouge was destroyed. A teaching and reading guide are also available. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
