Statistical Analysis Shows that Violence, Not Deferred Action, Is Behind the Surge of Unaccompanied Children Crossing the Border

This statistical analysis aims to show that this situation is a humanitarian and refugee issue, not an immigration issue, by specifically looking at the relationship between violence and the increase in unaccompanied children in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. In addition, it aims to show that DACA and lax border enforcement is not to blame and shows the relationship between Border Patrol budget and staffing and unaccompanied children.
