The Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section (HRSP) is a relatively new section within the Department of Justice which investigates and prosecutes human rights violators for genocide, torture, war crimes, and recruitment or use of child soldiers, and for immigration and naturalization fraud arising out of efforts to hide their involvement in such crimes. HRSP wants refugee and immigrant communities, and service providers for those communities to know that this office is here to assist them if they are aware of human rights violators in the United States, and that the United States is not a safe haven for these crimin??????????????????als. Please join us as Kathleen O’Connor, Deputy Chief in charge of HRSP’s human rights mission, presents a webinar explaining the unit’s human rights mission and explains what options are available to persons who are aware of or in fear of human rights violators living in the United States.
