This resource aims to engage students in refugee service work, raise awareness for the refugee cause and recruit future donors and volunteers. This innovative project received the support of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops/Migration and Refugee Services shortly after launching the “Parishes Organized to Welcome Refugees” (POWR) in 2010, to strengthen and deepen its support of church and community involvement in work for refugees and immigrants.
