This final report is divided into 5 sections. The first section reviews the background information that includes: a historical overview of values and attitudes toward children, child welfare policies and legislation, the development and evaluation of family preservation programs, and issues in working with Latino families. The second section describes the study methods and procedures. The third section describes the formation and implementation of the Latino Family Preservation Project. The fourth section details the findings of the case characteristics. And section five suggests recommendations for modification and change as well as future research.
