The first national organizing in the Bonner Network around Refugee and Immigration Issues took place at a specialized track at the 2011 IMPACT Conference. The conference touched upon personal experiences with the refugee/immigrant community, narratives from immigrants themselves, policitcal debates, essential skills for working with this population, a model for empowering migrant workers, and more.
