The Hmong population in the United States has increased in recent years. Parenting issues continue to be an on-going issue for the Hmong and few literatures are found on this topic. In this paper, the author explores the history of the Hmong and their ways of child-rearing. In addition, the author included a list of issues Hmong parents faced raising teens in the United States and what professional service providers would need to know in order to effectively work with Hmong parents and their teens.
