Following each case study are comments from focus group members, each representing a professional point of contact for refugee students. Historical overviews of Somalia, Bosnia, and Liberia follow the comments. The overviews serve as springboards to further study. Finally, the discussion questions at the end provide a starting point for more thinking and debate about how we as educators can help make our schools more accessible to refugee students and their families.
