This report explores the parenting issues faced by Eritrean and Somali parents in Toronto, as they adjust to living in a new culture. Data for the research was collected using a structured survey. This was divided into four main areas: settling children into the Canadian school system, experiences with the child welfare system, parenting in a new culture, and demographic details. The study also included secondary research, drawn from a review of the literature on the experiences of Eritreans and Somalis in Canada.
