This submission to the Australian Human Rights Commission is drawn from mainly qualitative findings of nine studies carried out by the La Trobe Refugee Research Centre (LaRRC) at La Trobe University, between 2004 and 2009, into the wellbeing and resettlement experiences of people with refugee backgrounds settled in Victoria and Queensland. A specific focus of this submission is the in-depth experiences of those who have participated in these studies.
