The author asserts that the Dutch Trafficking Victims Protection Act offers women victims of trafficking very little protection or security. This is one reasons, she writes, that women do not usually press charges against traffickers. The Foundation Against Trafficking in Women has devloped a checklist for social workers and lawyers who help trafficked women. Bonded Labor in the Netherlands (BLinN) supports trafficking victims in many ways, including capacity building, advocating at a policy level to ensure safe return, and finding alternatives through education and training.
