This article stresses the need for prioritizing strengthening the criminal justice response to trafficking activity and enabling victims to testify against traffickers. It gives an overview of recent antitrafficking measures, such as the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Palermo Protocol, and the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women.
