This handbook is designed to be helpful to field-based practitioners who want to develop rights-based child trafficking interventions, and to government and NGO representatives and donors involved children’s rights or in preventing child trafficking. It includes an overview of child trafficking in Southeast Europe, and outlines principles for rights-based strategies. It also includes concrete examples of interventions. Among other strategies, it discusses the role of awareness-raising in prevention, community based responses, and rights-based approaches in community interventions.
