This article discusses the precarious situation for Iraqi orphans, both Muslim and Christian, living in war-torn Iraq. Adoption is outlawed in Islamic law, to further complicate matters. However, millions of children are unaccompanied and potentially orphaned in Iraq, which will present a slew of issues when some of these children arrive as refugees to the United States.
