This article provides statistics on the make-up of today’s immigrants and describes the challenges that face immigrant youth in the United States, such as stress related to exclusion, poverty, and separation and the type of strain that this may cause in parent-child relationships. The article also describes how mentors can help these youth and lists recommendations for mentors.
