This book is filled with photography and essays produced through the Somali Documentary Project. It includes chapters on life in Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya as well as the two largest Somali communities in the U.S.: Columbus, Ohio and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The book documents this period of migration for Somalis and serves as a resource for American service providers, teachers, and community members who wish to learn more about their new Somali neighbors.
