The story of Dia, who was born in Laos and fled with her family to Thailand as a child. When she was 15-years-old, she came to the United States to begin a new life with her family. Dia’s story is told through a “story cloth”, stitched by her aunt and uncle, which makes up the illustrations of the book. A teacher’s guide is also available. Recommended for ages 4-7.
