This documentary film is about the activism of Liberian women to end the civil war that raged in their country over the past two decades. In response to the ongoing violence, thousands of Liberian women joined the grassroots Christian Women???s Peace Initiative, and their efforts paved the way towards the corrupt president???s exile and a new peaceful, democratically-elected administration. This film describes the history of the war in Liberia and demonstrates the strength of Liberian families. This background information and inside perspective on Liberian women and their children may be helpful to service providers working with Liberian families who relocated to the United States.
