This article summarizes strategies and activities practiced by out-of-school-time (OST) programs. This report also investigates different options for financing OST system-building efforts. This report provides direction for system planning, start-up and ongoing projects that could be helpful for OST programs that serve refugee children and youth. Refugee-serving programs may be particularly interested to read about Seattle, which is highlighted for their OST programs for refugee and immigrant youth. .
