Provides general information regarding juvenile law as it applies to Marathon County, Wisconsin, with focus on the needs of the Southeast Asian community, especially the Hmong, in that location. A listing of 22 frequently asked legal questions and general answers regarding juveniles was prepared by the Southeast Asian Outreach Committee and members of the Marathon County Bar Association. Topics addressed include: (1) the difference between juvenile court and adult court; (2) age definitions; (3) explanations of detention, foster homes, and group homes; (4) definitions of delinquency; (5) role of the corrections department; and (6) penalties that may be levied if found guilty of a crime.
