Allows online access to the database from the 2008 KIDS COUNT data book to view information on over 100 measures of child well-being and generates custom reports for specific topics or geographic areas. The first topic, RIGHT START indicators, tracks birth outcomes for babies in large cities and states. The second topic, KIDS COUNT data book, reports on the ten most important indicators from the data book such as infant mortality, teen births, children in poverty, and single parent households. Eight more topics include in-depth data on immigrant families, education, employment and income, health, health insurance, population and family characteristics, poverty, and youth risk factors. Profiles by state and geographic areas provide data comparisons for the previous five years. Other databases such as CLIKS, provide information at the county level; Census Data relates city, metropolitan statistical areas, and congressional district information.
