Introduces parents of children at or below preschool age to activities they can initiate with their children for encouraging early language and literacy development. Activities are intended for use with children of all developmental levels, including those with developmental challenges, and offer hints for tailoring them to be developmentally appropriate. Materials include 14 “on-the-go” activities to foster development from birth through preschool age; 46 parent-child activities just for preschool-age children; and 20 “birth to age three” materials. All materials complement the Language is the Key video programs and were sponsored by grants from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs.
