This book is a personal narrative of the author’s life as a child soldier in Sierra Leone. The author chronicles his life through the war, fleeing at the age of 12, being indoctrinated as a soldier at the age of 13, and being removed from the fighting by UNICEF at age 16, where he went through the rehabilitation process.
