Writing to be Heard: Parents Speak Up and Out About Parents’ Participation in Urban Public High Schools

This publication reports research conducted by Research Action in Philadelphia. Insight was gained into the ways in which some parents feel about what good parent participation looks like in an urban public high school. The majority of the parents would like to be more involved in their child’s public high school; however, barriers were mentioned, including those that are cultural.
