This report states that an estimated 30% of those Albanian trafficking victims used for sexual exploitation were girls under 18. Vatra, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) says that the percentage has fallen since 2002, when it was 70%, not because there is a real change in trafficking patterns but due to other factors. Although the number of children being trafficked for begging and other false labor also seems to have decreased, the smaller numbers of children are being used for more profitable activities for the traffickers. The report states that there is also evidence that infants are being sold. The report discusses unaccompanied children and voluntary migration of children.
