Grandparents and other caregivers learn about: (1) general weight and nutrition standards for children; (2) sources of nutritional foods, including food banks; (3) legal custody, citizenship, and foster care as they affect eligibility for food stamps; (4) eligibility for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, including such details as the definition of nutritionally at risk, duration of benefits, and residency requirements; (5) income and other eligibility for school breakfast and lunch programs as well as types of meals provided by these programs; (6) eligibility for the Summer Food Service Program, including income, citizenship, custody, and application requirements; and (7) eligibility for the Child and Adult Care Food Program, including benefits for children born outside of the United States.
