Offers a collection of constructive learning activities that mentors and mentees can use together. Activities are designed to develop skills in academics, provide gateways to discovery, be affordable and accessible, and encourage communication between mentor and mentee. Mentors and mentees can explore a range of activities that include: (1) events associated with different holidays or celebrations from around the world; (2) basic skills in the areas of language and writing, mathematics, social studies and history, art, natural sciences and health, and personal development; (3) specific language and art projects, involving story collages, poetry writing, cooking, photography, and other forms of artistic expression; (4) specific social studies projects, involving exploration of other cultures, archaeology, and oral history; (5) specific science projects, involving chemistry, geology, botany, biology, magnetism, navigation, and astronomy; (5) specific mathematics projects, involving secret codes, card games, statistics, tessellations, and business concepts; and (6) specific personal development projects, involving goal mapping, letter writing, and personal budgeting. All activities emphasize the importance of mutual exploration of ideas and the encouragement of learning that is relevant and interesting to the mentee.
