Published by the Center for the Study of Social Policy, each issue of this newsletter elaborates on a particular topic such as the necessary components of an individual action plan to assist a family in crisis or the building blocks of a network of neighborhood and community resources. Coverage of each topic includes an explanation of the issue of concern and the underlying rationale for a given program feature, identification and definition of key concepts, illustration of the topic using case studies, highlights of model programs, practical guidance for program development from experts in the field, strategies for funding as well as educational or grassroots outreach, discussion of lessons learned, consideration of staffing requirements or responsibilities, tools for program evaluation, and lists of resources in both print and electronic formats.
