• Mentees, parents/guardians, and mentors each participate in extensive training before matching
  • Mentors receive training in trauma-informed care and developmental assets
  • Mentors and mentees meet for at least two hours per week for at least one year
  • Mentors and mentees spend their time together working toward agreed-on service plan goals
  • Mentors and mentees are also invited to participate in group activities with other matches
  • Mentors are also encouraged to participate in in-service trainings
  • Program staff provide regular check-ins and support to families, mentees, and mentors
  • Program staff provide referrals for further assistance for mentees and their families as needed
