Recognizing the need to help children feel at ease during intake and assessment interviews, this short guide is for individuals working with children, and serves as a reminder of some of the key considerations of child-friendly interviewing. A supplemental webinar will help service providers improve their interviews with youth. Participants will learn about best practices and tips for how to make interviews more child-friendly and less intimidating for children. Suggestions for how to do so with a limited or non-existent budget for child welfare supplies will also be discussed.
