This program, funded by HHS/ORR, assists low-income refugees and other special immigrant populations in achieving self-sufficiency by helping them save for specific goals. IDAs are matched savings accounts that are available for achieving one of the following goals: purchasing a home, post-secondary education and training, an automobile if necessary to secure employment, or for starting or expanding a business. Individuals are matched up to $1 for every $1 they contribute, up to $2,000 for individuals and $4,000 for families. Contact an IDA grantee for more information!
