Provides assessment tools to evaluate the independent living skills of youth and young adults. The assessments, offered in both English and Spanish, consist of statements about life skills for the youth and/or caregiver to answer and are divided into age categories (8-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-15 years, and 16+ years) and a short test for ages 11-18. All tests and scores are provided via email message free of charge, and the results are anonymously stored. The life skills areas addressed are: career planning, communication, daily living, home life, housing and money management, self care, social relationships, work life, and work and study skills. Organizations can also create an identification number to produce aggregate reports on their clients in various forms (i.e., state, county, agency, pre- and post comparisons); the results remain anonymous. Companion Life Skills Guidebooks provide a curriculum and exercises that match the assessment questions and are available free of charge. Multi-level authorized training resources are provided. (IP)
